Pantone Color of the Year 2019

So.. I decided to blog about my favorite trends since I'm noticing a lot of them give me those warm fuzzy nostalgic feels. (Complimentary RGB code at the end of this article)
I'm not normally a trend follower but 2019 poses some really neat trend projections.  I'd like to amp and share those with you!  My first trend blog post is of.....dun dun da dahh.... Pantone's color of the year!  One of two of my favorite colors!!

Just in time to ring in the new year, 2019, Pantone announced the Pantone Color of the Year 2019 is 16-1546 Living Coral.  Pantone calls Living Coral, "An animating and life- affirming coral hue with a golden undertone that energizes and enlivens with a softer edge."

IDK about you but this color sets the tone for my whole upcoming year!  Especially setting the tone for my craft business as well as my blog feel!

Pantone goes on in their online article to say, "Vibrant, yet mellow PANTONE 16- 1546 Living Coral embraces us with warmth and nourishment to provide comfort and buoyancy in our continually shifting environment."

Can anyone say NOSTALGIA!?! I can feel it in my bones! Corals? Coral?... Anyway,

This color definitely meets all expectations of my seeking authentic and immersive experiences.  I've even decided, (prior to Pantone's announcement) to use it as the primary color in my Etsy Shop.  They really know their audience!

Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director of the Pantone Color Institute says, "Color is an equalizing lens through which we experience our natural and digital realities and this is particularly true for Living Coral.  With consumers craving human interaction and social connection, the humanizing and heartening qualities displayed by the convivial PANTONE Living Coral hit a responsive chord."

That it did Ms. Eiseman, That it did!  We thank you for this amazing color of the year!

Falling into Winter Series: 5 Ways to Stay Connected to Nature this Winter

Written By: I.D Flowers- Green 1.)  Try birdwatching.   *cold weather tip: watch from inside a window.  You don't have to go outside to enjoy the wildlife if you don't want to.  2.)  Get outside.  *cold weather tip: There's no bad weather, only bad gear.  Hats, winter boots, rubber boots, scarves, jackets, coats.  I can go on and on but you know what you need to do! 3.)  Living decorations.  I'll be elaborating on this one in an upcoming article so I don't want to go into too much detail here.  The benefits are endless.  Now's the time to use your imagination.  The sky's the limit, literally.   The aromas of nature are worth it.  Did I mention how much easier it is to decorate for the holidays using nature?  I'll touch on this and so much more later.....onto number 4. 4.)  Sunrise and sunset tracking or simulating.  Did you know that most stores carry sunrise simulators that improve...

The 10 lb Dusty Kettle-bell

What do you think of when you hear the number "10".  Do you think it is a big number or is it a small number?  The number 10 might not be significant enough to give you any type of second thought either way but when I think about the number "10" to myself, I think of it as being a huge deal. Just sitting there, haunting me with it's smug double digit, rounding to the  nearest failure.   10 signifies the first and smallest, "beginner" weight of kettle-bells.   This 10 lb beginner kettle-bell that I bought just before the holidays.  10 lbs of weight. Just sitting there, haunting me with it's smug double digit, rounding to the nearest failure. 10..... Ten... If only it were easy to lose 10 lbs too. Ten.  Using 10 lbs of weight to take away 10 lbs of weight. 10, the number of pounds that it takes for anyone to notice that I'm doing anything in my power to improve my over all livelihood. For the last few weeks through the holidays, that ...
